I’ve always loved filming Weddings at Brooklake Country Club. The staff is so friendly and patient with me when I take the details and the bride to the window in the lobby and ask them if we can turn the lights off a million gazillion times!
And I have the utmost respect for Peter, who is the Director of Catering, every time I’m there I see him getting his hands dirty, running around making sure everything is done to perfection! I love it when a leader is also an example and I always make a point before I go, to thank him and every other staff person I bump into as I walk out the door! (I mean, I gotta get home to my cat sometime!)
The grounds are breathtaking. The balcony overlooks the most beautiful backdrop with the dreamiest sunset! You barely have to take 10 steps out of the door before you view the most picturesque scenery. Which really comes in handy in those frigid winter months!
I know, I KNOW, get to the point already! I recently posted a highlight from Elizabeth + Adams wedding that I filmed there, and I was informed in the comments that they had added me as a preferred vendor after seeing their film!
I was tickled and amused at the way I found out that Alyssa Kaufman Films made the cut! Not to mention thankful! I wasn’t asked for anything in return, but I just wanted to do something a little extra special to show my appreciation, so I whipped together this little ditty with a little footage I “stole” from Elizabeth and Adams big day!
